PROFESSIONAL LONGARM MACHINE QUILTING Johnson City, Tennessee

Hello fellow quilters and quilt lovers! I love every aspect of quilting and believe every quilt is a blessing to whoever receives it, therefore my business is called Quilted Blessings. My passion for quilting began several years ago, and grew into a business in February 2004.

Welcome to my studio!  In January 2007 I moved my business out of my home into a rented office space nearby in Johnson City, Tennessee (or Gray, TN).  At the same time I sold my previous longarm machine and purchased a new A-1 Elite longarm quilting machine. This machine is stitch-regulated for better precision in my quilting.

Do you love making quilt tops, but hate the thoughts of wrestling them through your sewing machine to quilt them yourself? I understand. My first quilt was queen sized and even though I loved making the top, by the time I finished a bare minimum of quilting I wasn't sure I would ever quilt again. So if you have any tops that need quilting, I would be happy to help you complete them! Or maybe you love to hand quilt your tops, but hate the pin basting process. I can machine baste the layers of your quilt together, so that you can bypass all those pins and get right to the enjoyable part of hand quilting.

Maybe you don't quilt, but you have your grandmother's antique quilt top packed away and would love to have it completed so that you can enjoy it. I would love to do that for you. That's my great-grandmother's quilt hanging in the picture above. She pieced it by hand not too long before she died at age 92 in 1962. It was never finished till it was given to me in 2004. I don't remember my great-grandmother Russell, but I share her love of quilting, and hang this quilt in my studio in her honor.

Maybe you don't have any desire to make a quilt yourself, but want to have a special quilt made.  I can do that for you. Whether it be a quilt for a special occassion, such as a wedding, birth or anniversary, a special "memory quilt" made from a loved ones clothes, a t-shirt quilt, or that quilt you've always dreamed of out of fabrics you love, I can create a beautiful quilt to your specifications.  I can even design it in a quilt design software program and show you what it will look like before I ever start sewing.

Whatever your quilting needs, I strive to do the best work possible and treat every quilt as if it is my own. Your quilt will get my individual attention and will never leave my studio till it is returned to you.  I look forward to assisting you in any way.

Waiting List is currently 4.5 months

Longarm Machine Quilting Waiting List: Please plan in advance if you want a quilt quilted.  As much as want to make everybody happy and finish their quilts in time for that special occasion or quilt show,  I no longer do "rush jobs" due to the stress of too many deadlines and working too many hours a week without days off.  I love quilting and want to continue to do so for a very long time, but I have to have a more balanced life.    

You are welcome to request that your name  be added to my waiting list.  I just need to know about what size quilt you want quilted and if it will be an overall design or custom.  If you are a new customer, I will need a $25 nonrefundable deposit in order to put your name on my list.  This deposit will be applied to your quilting charges.  If I have not received your quilt two weeks before the anticipated quilting date, I will send an e-mail to remind you.  If I still haven't received the quilt within a few weeks, your name will be dropped from the list.

T-Shirt Quilts & Memory Quilts:  The waiting list to have a custom made t-shirt quilt or memory quilt may be more or less than the waiting list for longarm machine quilting.  I reserve space for one t-shirt quilt to be made and quilted per month.  The amount of time it takes to make a memory quilt is very hard to determine.  In general it will be longer than the machine quilting waiting list.  Please e-mail or call to find out what the current wait is.
